Rob Pacholok

B.Sc., M.Sc., P.Eng.


Rob Pacholok has over thirty years of experience in the field of building engineering. Rob’s primary area of expertise is the building envelope: walls and masonry. Rob’s background also includes masonry restoration and structural design.

Rob started his career with the consulting firm of Halsall – Stanley Associated Ltd. after graduation in 1980 and worked as a project engineer on building engineering projects throughout Western Canada for two years.

In 1982 Rob joined I.XL Industries Ltd. where he worked for nine years and finished as Technical Services Manager.  Rob developed innovative applications for brick utilization, as well as, provided structural expertise to Architects and Engineers in masonry restoration and the design and construction of unique and innovative details and wall systems involving masonry.

In 1985, as part owner, Rob started Fero Corporation where for thirteen years he served as President, General Manager and Director.  Fero manufactured masonry connectors co-invented by Rob (4 Canadian &    3 U.S. patents), and provided consulting engineering in structures, building science, renovation and restoration.

As part owner, Rob started Canadian Galvanizing in 1998, and served as General Manager for six years.

In 2004 Rob joined Building Science Engineering Ltd. (BSE) which offers design, investigation, testing and inspection services primarily related to the building envelope.
