Experience:
Richard Ogle has over thirty years of experience in the field of building engineering. Richard’s primary area of expertise is the building envelope: roofs, walls and windows. Richard’s background also includes concrete restoration, building aerodynamics and the structural analysis and inspection of communication towers.
Richard started his career with the consulting firm of Morrison Hershfield Limited and worked as a project engineer on building engineering projects throughout Western Canada and Ontario for nearly a decade.
In 1990 Richard joined Alberta Infrastructure’s Building Envelope Branch where he worked for six years and finished as Branch Director.
Richard rejoined Morrison Hershfield’s Edmonton Office in 1995 as a Senior Specialist.
In 1997 Richard started the firm, Building Science Engineering Ltd. (BSE) which offers design, investigation, testing and inspection services primarily related to the building envelope.
